Born in 1985, Branka Moss always had a passion for teaching and demonstrating how to create things, even from an early age. In the early days, it was cuddly foxes and moles that received lessons in Branka’s make-believe classroom, but these days she teaches primary aged children.
Branka always enjoyed school when growing up, and went to primary school in Letchworth before heading to secondary school at Hitchin Girls School. She then studied Classical Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London.
Branka made the move from teaching after several years in the retail industry after she realised it was her calling to teach when she began volunteering as a Brownie leader. She then completed her PGCE training at the University of Hertfordshire in 2015 and has worked as a full time teacher ever since. She has mainly taught in Years 3 and 4, but also has experience working with Key Stage 1 and Year 5 and 6 pupils, but has since left full time teaching to focus on Moss Tutoring. During her time teaching full time in schools, Branka has led various subjects such as PE, History, Geography and French. In 2023, Branka was successful in achieving the Silver Games Mark for her school!
During her spare time, Branka still loves to volunteer. She now volunteers regularly at parkrun, and holds a couple of posts. She is co-event director of Norton Common junior parkrun in Letchworth (which she was part of the team that took it from its very seeds to the event it is now) and is a local area ambassador for a few events in Hertfordshire. On top of this, she loves a good weekend away exploring new places, particularly if a parkrun is involved!
